Drop In, Create, Connect

Our open studio sessions are the heart of South Arts Pittsburgh's community. Bring your own supplies and projects, work alongside fellow artists, share techniques, and enjoy a creative, supportive atmosphere. No registration needed - just show up!

All sessions are at the Bethel Park Historical Society unless otherwise noted.

Friday Open Studio

Every Friday, 10am-2pm

Open to the public - all skill levels welcome! Bring your own art supplies and whatever you're working on. Grab coffee or tea from Reginald's coffee shop in the building, settle in, and create alongside our friendly community of artists.

  • Cost: Free! Suggested donation of $5
  • What to bring: Your own art supplies and projects
  • New to art? Come anyway! We're happy to help beginners get started

Wednesday Open Studio

Every other Wednesday, 6-8:30pm

Our evening open studio offers a relaxed space to work on your art after work or school. Occasionally, we host Member Workshops where a member shares a technique or skill in a casual setting.

  • Cost: Suggested donation of $5
  • What to bring: Your own supplies and projects

Figure Drawing Sessions

Every other Wednesday, 6:30-9pm

Practice your drawing skills with a live model in a supportive studio environment. The model may be nude or costumed. This is a self-directed drawing session, not an instructional class.

  • Cost: $12 per session
  • What to bring: Your own drawing supplies (paper, charcoal, pencils, etc.)

South Arts is proudly sponsored in part by a generous grant from the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.
