 Kim Evans Jewelry Making

Kim Evans of Divergence Design ( is a talented jewelry artist who teaches metal jewelry making.  

Hammered Metal Earrings

Learn how to use textured hammers and metal stamps to create designs on copper or brass earrings. Class will include a short discussion on metal gauges and relative hardness/softness. Instruction will include how to make ear wires with pliers. You'll also see how heating a final design with a Butane torch can enhance a design. By the end of the class, you'll have two pairs of beautiful earrings to take home.

DATE: Friday, November 11 from 1-3 pm

COST: Member – $70 includes all materials, Non-Member – $80, Monitor (prior approval required) – $60

Maximum class size: 8 per class

Minimum class size: 2 per class

Tole Painting with Jean Benson

Mondays October 24 - November 28
at the Schoolhouse in the Co-op room

1- 3:30 pm

Cost is $15 a class


Tole painting is the folk art of decorative painting on tin and wooden utensils, objects and furniture. The subjects are usually flowers and fruit but may be any subject. Jean Benson has been painting and teaching for more than half a century.  At 103 years young she will help you paint on anything from metal trays to wooden boxes although you can paint on canvas too. Jean uses oils however you may use acrylics as well.

Sessions Available (no registration)

Friday Painters Open Paint Sessions

Open to the public, no charge. Join us every Friday morning from 10 AM to noon. Bring your own art supplies and whatever you are working on and join our group. Grab yourself a coffee or tea from Reginald's coffee shop in the building. We help each other, have fun and instruction is available if necessary. Best of all, its FREE to members and non-members! Bring a friend and join in the fun!


Figure Drawing Sessions

Come and practice your drawing skills with a live model. The model may be nude or in costume. Figure Drawing Sessions meets every other Wednesday Evenings, 6:30-9 pm. $12 per session. This is not a class but a drawing session. Next sessions are November 2, 16 and 30, December 14 and 28.
